You should make weeks 8-9 and 10-11 be separate, especially since they are going to be the most common choices.

My understanding is that programs are overwhelmingly 8, 10, or 12 weeks. Is this wrong?

Just as a comment, I know some programs (like mine) don't have a specific length, but rather just have a maximum and minimum between which you can work however much you want (8-12 for me).

Does anyone know the possibility of extending past 10 wks once you are there? Or is this entirely firm dependent?

ITE most firms have a hard cap on the number of weeks you can work, and from what I've heard, 10 seems to be the max at most places the past few years.

entirely firm dependent (see Chuck Bass above), but they would tell you in advance if you had such an opportunity.

In other news, how many people are being offered advances (besides Wachtell)?

How much are these advances (like 1 week salary?), and how/when are they normally paid?

Irell and Munger, at least historically, would let you stay as long as you wanted / could. May have been cut back some lately.

DPW. I can't imagine firms not giving advances though. How are you supposed to pay your first month's rent?
