Recently came across an ad on my university's career website for a Legal Assistant position at Skadden Arps in Boston or NYC. I'm really interested in interviewing.
Has anyone worked as a Legal Assistant at SA or one of the top big law firms? Care to share your experience? I know it won't have a huge impact on my admissions prospects but it would certainly be an interesting way to spend my year off between graduate school and law school.
So far I've submitted a cover letter and resume. Any advice as far as the recruiting process goes? Should I try to stay in touch with the human resources recruiter? Submitting an application for a position like this seems like a crap shoot.

if they dont respond to you in 48 hours, send a LOCI. these always get the job done as law firms love persistence
