has the biglaw train left the station yet?

If you don't have an offer by now, is it safe to say you struck out trying to get biglaw?

Considering I have 3 callbacks in the next week, I sure hope not.

I think things are beginning to narrow, but the door isn't really shut for another month or so.

If you have no cbs left then almost certainly yes.

I would imagine that most of the V100 is almost done hiring by now.

It depends on your school. The earlier your school did OCI, the worse off you are right now. Harvard students had day 1 of callback week yesterday, so it's not like all firms are done hiring. Not by a LONG shot.

A V5 NYC recruiter told me very recently that the process, for the firm, was just over halfway done - with more CBs and offers to go through over the next few weeks.

The only two callbacks I got are in the next seven days. Only one is technically biglaw, I guess, but still -- I really hope the train hasn't left. My ticket isn't even good yet.

God I hope not, I had 13 cb's beginning last week and was told between 1 week and the first week of October for all of them. I have to think silence is not a bad thing.

Not even close. I know lots of people who did not hear back until October at a T-14.

Definitely not. I had nothing yet on this date last year and ended up with 3 offers.

I scheduled two callbacks for later this month 5 minutes before checking TLS, and found this thread.

Were these from callbacks you had pending at the time, or from further efforts?

Which firms, if I can ask? (Hint?)

Just wondering, because I'm waiting on NYC firms...also, how long did each firm take?

Depends on when the school did its OCI. CLS is wrapping up things, for example, from summer OCI. Our OCI was the second week in August, though. Most people are bumping against their 4 week deadline, at this point, for offers.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
