Fwiw Weil just started interviewing wednesday, so I'd be surprised if they were making offers already.

Can we get consensus on where v10 are on their hiring processes? Please correct if anybody has info: NYC unless specified

Wachtell: waiting on grades from all
Cravath: waiting on grades from all
Skadden: 1L Scholars screeners done, no callback invites yet
S&C: waiting on grades from all
DPW: no 1L
CLeary : callbacks ,no offers yet
Weil: callbacks and offers
Simpson : no 1L
Kirkland : no 1L In Chicago. Nyc screeners
Latham: screeners no callbacks

If a firm emails you they will be in touch after you submit your grades what does that mean (some of the firms, apparently have already sent out interview invites)? Close but below median at CCN.

It means you aren't IP/diverse or didn't find a cure for cancer in your previous life (or your applying to a more popular office or are K-JD or any number of other reasons particular to the firm, the office, and you), so, for you, they'll want to see some academic excellence before they interview.

My best friend is a 1L at a T14 who got an offer for two summers at a V25 even before his grades came out.

I have heard they only take one from each target so thats probably it if thats true

Interview this week at Weil. Is the 1 offer/school thing legit? If so, I guess I better hope an offer hasn't gone out to my school? Then again, would they really keep interviewing kids from schools that they've already filled their quota for?

to sell you on the firm for next summer. they'll likely give u a straight to CB during EIP (and almost a guaranteed offer). its still worth going.

How did you apply to Kirkland's NYC office. The online application only lets you apply to LA. Did you just send an email?

Just discovered that school will allow externship for private practice work (inc., obvs, in house work). Externships come with $$$ if on a scholly, like myself.

With slightly below-median grades at a t25 and it being late-January, where should I be applying?
