Not the anon you replied to, but this sounds like such bullshit. Who could possibly know that "Some vault 20 places didn't even take anyone once oci hit." This sounds like the sort of "common knowledge" that grows on this site but that none of us know and seems incredibly implausible. I don't know any firms that came to my school's OCI from DC that didn't give out callbacks. Yeah I talked to recruiting. Also to the poster who says I don't know what I'm talking about. I know of exactly 1 v10 and 1 v20 office who filled their (small) summer classes before oci. I guarantee you that neither was on your campus during oci interviewing for their DC location. How do I know? I did a callback with both before oci and was directly told by each hiring partner that they had filled up their classes weeks before oci. They did way more pre oci interviews and people accepted not wanting to go through oci. Sure these aren't firms that have 20+ summers in DC but this info is legit.
