I haven't, but I would also love to know this. It seems unlikely they will have all offers by Wednesday as anticipated if no offers have gone out yet.[/quote]
I've been told that you can't predict much about what EOIR is going to do, since they don't have a centralized decision making process like the other branches. I would call the ARC to find out more, but I had to contact her recently for something unrelated and don't want to come off as a stalker. However, I've heard of others having success with contacting their ARCs to figure out their status (nudge to all the other EOIR people waiting on here).

Has anyone called their ARC to find out if he or she is a first-pick or alternate?

Does this mean that I didn't make it, or can I hold out hope. I know that there have been a couple offers and the status was changed to Finanlist for them last Wednesday, but I wasn't sure. Thanks.
Same boat but with Civil... think we're effed

Yeah, I think so too. I wish they would just tell us and end the pain.

That would be the humane thing to do...

Did your ARC say how many alternates they selected?

Were you selected as a "finalist" for Antitrust? If so, did you status change in Avue?

If you don't mind, do you have a lot of immigration experience? Also, did you select certain locations or that you'd go anywhere?

I think they have to wait until references respond... so it could be that.

At least one reference was contacted last week. Haven't gotten a call yet.

Some immigration experience, but only selected a few major-ish cities. Hope that wasn't a mistake...

My guess is the DOJ ranks candidates and then goes down the list assigning geographic areas based on your preferences and what is available by the time they get down to you.
If you impressed them enough and you are high up on the list it probably means you may get your preferred locations.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
