Still no love from Columbia.

Also, Berkeley said they don't do merit-based waivers.

They told me that they have a very lenient Need based waiver program so I applied for that. But it takes like 3 weeks to hear back..

Just got Northwestern. Trying to decide if doing an interview is worth it?

I met with an NU alumnus. Absolutely worth it even though I almost certainly won't be outright accepted. He was an early associate at a top NLJ250 firm and was former pres of the SBA. We had a great chat. He sent me an e-mail later telling me that he enjoyed our talk and that if I ever had any questions about law schools, etc., e-mail him and/or maybe we'll discuss it over beers when I'm in town. He gave me some comments on my PS and recommended a couple books I read before LS.

170, and I noted on the CRS profile that I have 5 years of work experience. GPA sucks, but if they're using the general CRS one, it says 3.0-3.49.

Sweet I got a hidden fee waiver from Northwestern. That only leaves 4 schools that I will be paying for. Quick question do Harvard, Yale, Stanford, or Berkeley give unsolicited merit-based fee wavers? My numbers are about average for them ...

Don't lose faith just yet, I think they've been coming out in waves. You may be among the next batch of waivers to go out.

I kinda think my GPA is what's preventing them from giving me one. But maybe you're right. I sure hope so, anyway.

Emory emailed me saying i need a 3.5 to get a fee waiver, so much for applying there.
