If you think it'll be a good experience, then do it. The organization definitely has a somewhat conservative bent, but I don't think it'll hamper any professional opportunities down the line, especially if you can explain your experience there in a way that is not too right-wing sounding. If it rubs some super lefty hiring managers at nonprofits the wrong way, then you probably were a bad fit for those places anyway.
