Depth of Transcript Scrutiny

Post by Dipsychus » Mon Sep 02, 2019 11:05 am

Do adcoms look at the individual grades and courses on undergraduate and grad school transcripts, or focus on the overall GPA. My intuition tells me that when they have to do a final round of culling, there will be in-depth scrutiny — is this correct?

I have mostly As, but also some Cs which brought my overall GPA to A-. And some variability in my grad school career (which I didn’t really care about at the time, grades being less important to me than the solid research I was doing).

Is *this* the sort of stuff that needs to be “explained” in an addendum?
