- 3.42 UGPA (Michigan State University) **3.35 adjusted LSAC
- 172 LSAT
- Dual degree, dual minor (BA in International Relations, BA in French)
- Have one 0.0 on my transcript (failed Calc I, retook it for a higher grade, but the school includes both on my transcript but my GPA only includes the better grade)
- Continuous upswing in grades (4.0 senior year, 4.0 senior seminar semester)
- Internships in the Michigan House of Reps and a foreign embassy (research, helped write bills)
- Worked for three of my four years at school
- Participated in research symposiums and two study abroads
- Current MBA student at the University of Michigan (top 10 program)
- Volunteer work through church
- Currently working full time for a law firm as a paralegal to the managing partner (I have experience going to mediations, status conferences, done work on different lawsuits, etc)
- Letters of recommendation from a state supreme court judge and my current employer, as well as director of academic affairs from grad program (personally know all three recommenders)
- Various extracurriculars (choir, instrumental music, rec sports, tutoring, graduate school philanthropy board member, former board member at a nonprofit)
- Two and a half years previous experience in Finance positions
- Bilingual, working on my dual citizenship (including becoming trilingual)
- Issue I can’t help but freak out about: I had a hard time in a few math related courses in grad school, was put on academic probation, courses changed to qualitative instead of quantitative, grades went from passing to 4.0 (exponential increase!) so went off academic probation, never put back on (will explain on my applications)
- I plan to write a diversity statement (I’m Arab American on one side, and an ethnic minority (Romani) on the other side)
Obviously there are smaller soft factors, but I just wanted to get a feel for the opinions/advice for T15 schools
Thanks!!
