General Feedback?

Post by EmelyM23 » Sun Nov 13, 2016 10:46 am

Hi All new to the TLS community!
Just wanted to know how to further enhance my chances for Georgetown and/ Northwestern U! I hold a 3.67 GPA from Undergrad & a 3.89 from Masters in psychology. I just took a LSAT diagnostic "Cold" as many of you say and got a 153. Luckily, I am in NO rush as far as studying since I will be taking the June LSAT 2017. I am extremely motivated and started to read the LSAT trainer (BTW, do yourself a favor and get this book, I look forward to reading it!) along with the Bibles + 3 LSAT test books. So I have roughly over 6 months to study and have been doing so for about 20hrs/week now. I will bump this up to 30hrs starting Feb/March. So far my stronger areas is Reading Comp and Logical Reasoning. As I completely bombed the logic games. I know myself and I get nervous during test which is why I'm also taking a Blueprint course in March since I do want to be held accountable my last couple of months. I want to be in a stimulated environment as well.

I just wanted to hear if my GPA was even good enough for these schools assuming I scored a 165+. Northwestern U mentions they like to see work experience and I have been a research coordinator for juvenile delinquency project. I have many internships too in the law field and psychology field. Any advice on anything else I could do to enhance my chances ? I would be applying as soon as the applications open for early decision to Northwestern btw.

Absolutely agree with Zeglo, score as high as possible. NU's median GPA was 3.77 and median GPA 168. (lawschoolnumbers.com). I got a lot out of 7Sage, especially with logic games. Good Luck!

Work or do some volunteering while studying for the LSAT.

Get the rest of the lsat test books. If possible, you should have all of them. Keep working and don't get discouraged! It's a long process.
