Do I apply a 3rd time?

Post by lostcrayons » Thu Jun 30, 2016 11:26 am

In consideration of time, I won't make this a long drawn out post. I have taken the LSAT twice in the past year and applied to law school twice.
I have average softs, 3.5 gpa, 168 1st take/170 LSAT 2nd take.
Both years, I applied broadly across the T14 and UCLA, Vanderbilt, local TTTs.
My results have not been promising... I was only accepted to the safeties, and waitlisted at every other school.
This year I was waitlisted at CNVDPMGC
Last year, I was waitlisted at CNDPMGCN

I've looked over my application, LORs, PS. I don't think that there are any glaring problems in any of them.
I have even asked at interviews about my application, which school reps have said are fine.

I guess where I am getting at is this. Is it worth trying again? I've been contemplating the September LSAT as I feel like i left some points on the table. However, my life has been revolving around law school admissions the past two years, and its been killing me.
Anyone else heard of a similar situation?

Why you sleeping on every other school that isn't total shit that you could probably go to for free (except cost of living). Minnesota would be happy to give you lots of money, WashU would give you lots of money, Emory would be happy to take you.

Why you need T14 with a 3.5 and a decent but not stellar LSAT?

I'd retake a 3rd time and try studying this time if you haven't before, or studying differently if you already have, if going T14 is a must.

Have you written LOCIs for each school you were waitlisted at? If not, get on that, stat.
