Do Withdrawals show up on Transcripts?

Post by NotoriousRBG5604 » Mon Apr 18, 2016 3:12 pm

When you send your transcripts to LSAC do withdrawals show up? I mean, do law schools *see* the withdrawals? Also, I know that punitive withdrawals count as F's, so how do you know if they are punitive? My school (UC Davis) didn't know what I meant when I asked about it. (I asked both my college and the registrar). By the way, my withdrawals are all for medical reasons. (Except one course that I dropped in week 4 of the quarter and shows up as a withdrawal on my transcript)

I don't think law school's see the withdrawed courses, but I do know that a few W's really don't matter. What matters is your LSAC GPA, so if your W's are just shown on your transcript as a normal W, then that won't affect you in anyway. The only way I can see a withdrawn grade affecting you is if, like you said, it's punitive such as WF or WU.
