I just finished my second semester of my junior year and I plan on applying for law school in the fall. should I go ahead and register for the CAS so I can send my transcripts? I'm not taking any classes over the summer. Thanks!

Sure, but I would note that registering for CAS now won't help your application in any way.

You can send in transcripts before registering for CAS. I believe just won't process your applications till you pay.
I'd go ahead and request the transcripts now. One less thing to have to worry about later.
