LORs and PS still valid next year? (Re-taking LSAT?)

Post by maiden42 » Thu Feb 26, 2015 2:22 pm

Hi all:

After getting some of results back from the 2014/2015 round of admissions I have been considering holding off, re-taking the LSAT, and trying again next year. (151/3.37 in Computer Information Systems from CA State School, but given URM $ from a couple schools). I am sure everyone's advice here is "retake", but I have a few questions.

1) Will LORs (written end of 2014) still be valid for the end of 2015 admissions cycle? (Applying in Dec of 2015). Would I need to get updated/new ones? (The FAQ notes they are held by the LSAC for 5 years, but I am curious if there are any practical problems with re-applying with the same LORs)
2) Would I need to re-draft a personal statement if I am applying to the same school in 2015/2016 that I applied to in 2014/2015?

Anything else to consider when "waiting until next year?"

Thanks again
