Letter of Rec
Is it wrong to request a copy of the LOR from the recommender? I feel like if I knew the contents of the letter, I could appropriately send it to certain schools.

No, you shouldn't do that. You should choose a LOR writer who is a decent person and who you trust to write you a good letter. If you're worried about the LOR writer sending the wrong school-specific letter, then you should reemphasize that it's very important that the letter have the correct school name & you should make sure that the letter you requested on the LSAC website says "For X School" so it is less likely that the writer will get confused.
Basically, the LOR writer would have given you a copy of the letter if he or she thought you needed to see it.
