New Job

Post by AJB » Wed Jan 22, 2014 5:28 pm

So I just got a job as an analyst at a global consulting firm. I sent in my Law School Apps in early January. I applied to some schools like Northwestern, that value post-grad work experience. This is the first thing on my resume that isn't some sort of internship. Should I send an update to the schools I applied to? If so, should it just be an updated resume or what?

You might ask the schools in question, but I had a job change as well and sent in an updated resume. No idea if it helped me, but it certainly doesn't seem to have hurt me either.

I too landed a job as a Paralegal days after I sent in my apps. It's a pretty standard job, but I'm actually doing legal work (as opposed to just clerical work or answering phones) and think law schools might be interested in this info. My question is this:

Since I'm assuming that I will get waitlisted at most of my top choices (T15-25), should I just hold on to this information and send a letter of continued interest once I get news back from these schools? Or should I go ahead and send out the information about my job now?
