Native language? Forum

I'm totally confused about this question. My first language was Hindi in India and then I immigrated to the US when I was seven, learned English and now my English is waaay better than my Hindi and also my primary language. Would this still make my native language Hindi? Also, if it is, should I not state it? (the q is optional on all apps) I don't want them to think my English is bad and use that as a negative.

Your essays and your LSAT will tell them all they need to know about your english capabilities.

I put down Hindi, because technically it is my native language even though my english is way better. It was my first language, the language I had learned from birth.

I put English because I can't even speak my native language anymore as a result of its desuetude, but I can understand arguments for either.

Your native language doesn't default to the country you were born in…even India has several different languages. If it were really that simple, they would extrapolate your native language from your country of citizenship.

Put down the language you spoke first and that is spoken in your house.
