Interviews

Post by jk148706 » Fri Nov 15, 2013 11:00 pm

So I am going to be interviewing with a few T14s in the near future. And I'm positive they will ask the standard "what are your career goals" question. My career goals are simple : biglaw ... So, how do I spin that into an answer that will sound at least decent during my interviews? Any ideas?

Just make an arbitrary decision between litigation and corporate and go with the natural arguments for either. "I want to represent big time corporations at trial"

There isn't really a stigma surrounding biglaw at law schools - they like sending grads there because it improves the employment prospects of their future students and usually means donations start rolling in. No need to spin it - just talk about what you want to do in biglaw.
