Submitted September, but retaking December

Post by hausmaus » Fri Nov 15, 2013 1:23 pm

I submitted my applications in September to most of the T14 but now plan to retake the LSAT in December (after getting a 167).

What's the best approach to notifying the schools? Do I tell them now? Wait until after the retake? After the score comes out?

Schools are automatically notified when your new LSAT score comes in. If you applied to some schools that are super reaches for you and you're concerned that one of those schools might ding you because of your lower score, you can e-mail the admissions office with your LSAC # and let them know that you're taking the LSAT in December. I'm sure they'll make note of it and automatically postpone evaluating your file until the score is released.
