Personal statement and diversity statement overlap
Wanted to get some advice. My personal statement currently refers a lot to my diversity, which would seemingly make a diversity statement redundant, but they're still required. Any thoughts on how to approach this? Write a different PS devoid of any reference to diversity and save it for the other?

Re: Personal statement and diversity statement overlap
What school requires a diversity statement? That's unusual and seems almost mean.
But if that is the case, don't reiterate what you've already said. "Diversity" is not synonymous with URM--it is BROAD. Write about religion, age, ethnicity, geography, social class, major, political ideology, work experience in an unusual industry, literally anything. You've got something that makes you unique.
They just want to know what you'll contribute, so pick one of your many attributes and say you'll contribute it!
