NYU Scholarship programs

Post by armysgt » Thu Sep 19, 2013 12:49 am

I'm talking about programs like the "Bickel & Brewer Latino Institute for Human Rights Scholarship," "Institute for International Law and Justice Scholarship" etc. on #11 of the application form.

There are one or two that I'm interested in. However, if they affect my admissions chances adversely, I do not want to take the chance since getting in is my priority.

Are applications to these programs looked at together with admissions decisions, or are people admitted first, and the considered for these programs?

I applied to IILJ and I am pretty sure that I read somewhere that the scholarship selection process is after the admission process and has no bearing on the admission process.

I would just call the school. Don't give you name. It's just some 1L/undergrad sitting there but they probably know the answer.

the scholarship applications (at NYU at least) are only read AFTER your admission decision.
