Thanks but I'll just email them again then if I haven't heard back yet.

George Washington- told me to ask after Oct 1
Fordham- told me to ask after Sep 1
Duke- denied
Cornell- denied
Colorado- no response yet
Berkeley- no response yet
Texas Tech- denied

The fact that I got denied by Tech made me laugh. It's the only school I ask for a waiver from that my numbers exceed both 75%.

How did you get gtown ? Was that need based ?

I have decent numbers, but also do not make much money. What's a good way to solicit fee waivers from schools, list my stats, or play to my financial situation? I don't want to give schools the impression that I'm only interested in attending if I can get a fee waiver, but I definitely won't be applying to a some schools without a waiver, despite my interest.

Both. Explain your situation then list your numbers as a supplemental piece of information.

I solicited one from Georgetown this morning, just sent them an email. Does anyone know how to get CCN waivers?

I haven't seen (not been looking too closely) anyone get a waiver from Chicago that didn't have an LSAC fee waiver.

Only ones I know of off hand are NU (free through 11/05), WUSTL free if you apply through their site, and UIUC. NU and WUSTL were mentioned earlier in this thread. I'm not sure how many intend to apply to UIUC, although I will be which is how I discovered the information

I also got one by emailing my stats (not a veteran).

Thought I would give some info on my recent experience soliciting fee waivers.

Chicago:
Thank you for your inquiry. Our fee waiver options are explained on our website: http://www.law.uchicago.edu/prospectives/feewaivers.
According to the link this is their policy "The Law School will also send out additional fee waivers to applicants based upon data from the Candidate Referral Service (CRS) and in conjunction with various recruiting events. The Law School is unable to consider individual Fee waiver requests."

Virginia: Success (as many on here have already noted)

University of Washington:
Thank you for your message and interest in UW School of Law. Attached you will find the fee waiver application form. Please read the form carefully and email or fax the completed form along with your supporting documentation to our office after October 1. We cannot accept fee waiver applications before that time. Should you be granted a fee waiver, we will email you with the fee waiver code.

Please feel free to contact our office should you have any questions.
The form says that they will consider offering a fee waiver to "Applicants with a GPA and/or an LSAT score at or above our medians"

I did not solicit waivers from GULC, Cornell, Duke, or Michigan because I received unsolicited waivers. I have yet to solicit waivers from Columbia/Northwestern/NYU/Penn because I am not sure if I will apply to those schools.

Sorry, let me be more clear. I solicited a fee waiver about two weeks ago and received a code for it within a half an hour. Today they sent me an unsolicited waiver. So now I guess I don't have to use the code. #doublewaivered

Just got UVA unsolicited! 168/3.7x. The floor seems pretty low...? Or does UVA generally give waivers to people with similar numbers to mine? MyLSN says 29% of people with similar stats got a waiver in the last two cycles. Either way, this is giving me hope that I probably shouldn't have :D

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
