how much arrest record could hurt you?

Post by Ineedapillow » Wed Nov 28, 2012 8:02 pm

Two years ago I was arrested for hit and run and careless drive, the lawyer dropped the charge to a traffic violation (fail to report accident scene), and all I got are 100$ fine and 4 hour online driving course.
When some school asked ' if you ever be arrested ,convicted...for criminal and traffic violation?' do i need to declare this? How much it will hurt my chance be accepted?
If I need to declare , what extra documents I need to provide to school?

Thanks

I would certainly disclose it!

Just give them a short, factual statement of what happened and end it with a sentence saying something like, "my charges were dropped after...." (or whatever the details are).

Schools aren't going to care. You'll be fine.

Good luck!
