GW IP Law (no technical background)

Post by bjokay » Mon Mar 26, 2012 8:59 pm

How is GW intellectual property law program for those with no technical background?

My goal is to get into the Sports/Entertainment industry and I hope that studying IP at GW will give me a slight edge. Is this overly optimistic? Any advice?

Only edge it will give you is if you have to pick between it and a lower ranked school. As in, it won't help at all

Go to the best ranked school you can get into. Outside of the t-14, go to one in the region you want to work if its a strong school. Period

How would IP give you an edge for sports/entertainment law?

Regardless of sports/entertainment interest, is gw ip mainly known for patents or is it also a great program for those with no technical background like myself?

Patents. If you've got no tech background, you're going to have an incredibly difficult time getting an IP gig from GW. Sorry dooder. PM me for more if you want.
