I would probably say that if it's divided up based on academic year, you'll get the funding that was allocated to you for that year. For example, you attend School A, receiving X dollars per year (for a total of 3X). If you transfer out or quit law school, I'd be shocked if they made you pay back your X dollars that were given to you that year.
