Small sample size, but there are a lot of people on here with really strong numbers. Could it really be that interviews are for people on the fence?

Really strong numbers + interview was more like a sales pitch for GULC + interview request email says your application is very strong = yield protect??

Congrats on getting into Michigan, that seems like a godsend with those numbers. No offense, I have the same exact numbers...You were already accepted to Michigan this cycle?

Yes, I was already accepted to Mich and it was my #1 so that's where I'll be going.

Yeah, mine said the same thing (my email). I haven't had my interview yet.

Can you be specific about the wording? I am wondering if mine was a YP as well (3.6/176)

I think the wording is the same for everyone. I don't think there is one specific reason why they choose to interview a candidate. They can benefit from it in many ways.....1. make sure you are not a psycho 2. increase yield 3. better alumni relationships 4. choose between borderline candidates..etc

I don't think I have the email anymore :( I think it differed based on what kind of interview you were offered (group, video, individual). Mine said they were offering me an interview 'based o the strength of' my application.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
