As you can tell from the subject, I hit submit on an application last night without noticing I had called a school "X University" when their name is "The University of X."
I only did it in one place and it's at the bottom of my personal statement. It was a careless mistake made while trying to get a few apps out last night. In this case, there's no such thing as "X University", so they're going to either think I was rushing and made a dumb mistake or I just honestly am not that familiar with the school.
How big of a deal is this?
Thanks,
E

You should be fine as long as this was a school you'd have gotten into anyway. I've mentioned elsewhere, that I wrote in my PS how much I wanted to go to X University, then I sent it to Y University -- and it was fine.

Well, it's a T-14 and my odds are 50/50 at best. I realize this doesn't help, but I'm hoping this won't tip the scales the other way.cinephile wrote:You should be fine as long as this was a school you'd have gotten into anyway. Still, it's not like you wrote in a totally different university. And it's possible they won't notice if you don't bring it to their attention.

They won't punish you for a simple mistake.
