Community College Grades

Post by scaldwe3 » Fri Nov 11, 2011 9:08 am

I am applying to law schools this upcoming year, however, I'm in a difficult spot in deciding what schools to apply to. I went to CC for 3 years after high school because I did not know what I wanted to do. While at CC I slacked considerably my GPA was only a 3.3. However, since transferring to my University my GPA is a 3.7. Do the law school admissions put more weight on an actual University GPA or a CC GPA or are they viewed evenly? The schools I'm considering now are Fordham, Wayne State, MSU, Maryland, and American. Any information you can share will be greatly appreciated!

If they even look at your transcripts, they will care more about your university grades. However, all they really care about is the composite cumulative GPA that LSAC compiles.

They look at the number reported by LSDAS. That's it.
