JD/PhD fields on Applications

Post by njskatchmo » Fri Sep 09, 2011 7:20 pm

I am considering applying to a joint JD/PhD program. Is there any evidence that doing so improves ones chances? Why do they need to know if I'm applying on the applications if I have to be admitted to the programs separately? I understand that people on this board may not be able to answer this.

It might help for the law school if you get into the PhD program if you are one the bubble or in yield protection territory because you are not likely to get into many PhD programs (or want to) at peer schools and the law schools would have a good chance at bumping their yield.
