How can you know how your GPA will be viewed?

Post by shredderrrrrr » Fri Aug 26, 2011 11:56 am

I have read places that your LSAC GPA will be looked at in regards to your UG institution (in order to account for grade inflation or harsh grading). Now that I have my grade report back, I can see all the school information included. My question then is this. How do you know what is a grade inflated school vs. a harshly graded school?

I have a 3.8 LSAC GPA. The college mean states: 3.34 (adding that I am 83 percentile). Is this good? Bad? Am I looking in the wrong places? I just want to know if my GPA will be helped or hindered by my UG. If anyone has any advice for how to figure this out, it would be greatly appreciated!

Your GPA will be viewed as a 3.8. All that other stuff is largely irrelevant.
