is anyone familiar with such a concept? i plan on applying early admissions to u of p and i have a couple of close "academic" friends whom are graduates from u of p that are more than happy to write me letters of recommendations. I heard that there is a concept of targeted letters where an alumn can write a specific lobbying effort to the dean of admissions without this necessarily counting towards the number of recommendations from professors etc.
(Applications Advice, Letters of Recommendation . . . )
