Is there any chance of them accepting an application a day late? (I'm below median in both gpa and lsat, haha.)
How hard is it to transfer into HYS from Columbia?

Haha, I don't know if it's a good idea or not. I was just wondering how often people do such things. I guess the idea is to trade something good for something more good.

Worry about getting in at LEAST the top 10% of your class first, then worry about transferring.
Columbia to Y/H/S sounds stupid though. You'll lose all your 1L connections and damn your chances at getting a good spot on law review, at least, you wouldn't get one as good as you'd get at CLS. If you do well enough at CLS to transfer out, you'd be better off staying, because the job prospects aren't really going to be better for you at Y/H/S than they would as top 10% at CLS. You'll just lose a lot of connections. Have you ever transferred schools before? It's tough. Your first year in college you make a ton of friends because everyone is new and looking for bros too. When you transfer schools though, your peer group will already have its circles and will just be less interested in making new friends, more interested in their grades. You will be an odd man out. You'll make friends but the connections won't be nearly as close. What's the point anyway. It won't matter in the legal profession if you were Y/H/S or top 10% at CLS (odds are against you anyway), maybe it'll make your mom proud though?
