Hey guys, I am trying to ask the school I got accpeted to reconsider for me scholarship money because I didn't recieve any. The admin counselor told me to email them asking for reconsideration but I wasn't sure what kind of format or in what manner I should write to email to increase my chance of receiving financial aid.. I know I have to let them know if I was offered any scholarship money from anyother schools but is there any other info I should put in? e.g. how much i want to goto that school, yet money is the only factor preventing me from finalizing the decision.
Also, (this maybe dumb quesiton) can they say "then choose another school" or take away my spot just because I asked for "scholarship money or it will be hard for me to go there?"
THanks for the help!

Re: Question:asking the school to reconsider you for scholarship
There are some good formats that people have used in the past, and I think as recently as yesterday I saw one on the front page of one of the forums, so use the search feature or just look at thread titles and you should find it. Just be concise and honest. They won't pull your admission offer for asking though.
And I don't want to sound rude, but make sure to use proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc, when you write the email, because your post lacks it. (Not saying mine is ideal either before someone comes and grammar polices me)

Oh haha yeah I just re-read my post and it had some funny mistakes. Yeah, I won't say things like "to email to" or such. For the search thing, do you remember any key phrases I should type in to get the post?

Re: Question:asking the school to reconsider you for scholarship
I think a good form basically consists of this
1. talk about your acceptance (I am honored to be accepted into your school etc)
2. Talk about the financial aspect of your decision (given the economy, finances are very important to me in making a decision about which school to attend)
3. Mention Similar-school acceptances/Scholarships (I got X amount from School X-depending on how vast the differences are, you can just mention your highest offer or all your offers)
4. Ask for a reconsideration of your scholarship offer and mention your interest in the school
I think you should write your own letter and then ask people on TLS to read it(i would) for you--you want to make sure that you are coming across in a certain way--everyone has their own writing style though which is why you should write it yourself--take bits and pieces from the letters you find in the search engines though as those can be helpful.
Hope this helps
