Should I apply to UC Hastings this late in the cycle?
So basically, my highest LSAT score is 157 and GPA is 3.2x. I took the Feb LSAT and believe that I got anywhere from 159-169. I have been accepted to a few lower T2 schools. University of San Diego is waiting for my Feb LSAT score and I would love to go to this school if I got a good LSAT score, but I am going to be pissed if I get a 167+ and did not apply to UC Hastings. After USD, the next higher ranking schools I applied to are UCLA and Boston U who are waiting for Feb LSAT as well. My question is, should I apply to UC Hastings this late in the cycle hoping that my LSAT is 165+. I want to eventually work in San Diego because my significant other lives here. Thanks in advance.

I would say just apply. You have nothing to lose. If you get a higher LSAT you may get in. If you don't you'll get rejected.
If you don't apply you'll never know.

Honestly, with a 157 LSAT and a 3.2 GPA I highly doubt you can get into Hastings. If you did in fact get a much better LSAT score, like a 165-169, I would still say its unlikely given how late in the cycle it is.
You have probably 0 chance at UCLA with a 3.2 GPA and a sub 170 LSAT score. Unfortunately for us (I too want to go to UCLA), UC's have an annoyingly high emphasis on GPA and the only way to overcome that is: 1. Being a URM or 2. Having a 170+ LSAT score.
If you really want to have a shot at Hastings or at a good school in SoCal like UCLA or USC. I'd wait, hope for a 170+ LSAT and apply early next cycle.

Honestly, I can't wait another year. Thus, the dilemma. I will only wait till next cycle if I score a 170+.

Then don't waste time asking other people what they think. Go finish the app and submit. Don't worry about your chances until you've paid the 70 dollar fee and can do nothing else to help your situation.risktaker wrote:Honestly, I can't wait another year. Thus, the dilemma. haha. Yes, I couldn't help it. I am trying to stay away from the waiting thread at least. F'in A, I guess I will just have to apply. At least, it's good knowing they are the only school that I will be paying an app fee for. Thanks for the thoughts guys.

You can apply, but it might be a ticket to the WL. I applied last year, and my application was pending late due to the Feb LSAT. Despite solid numbers, I was wait-listed.
I got in off the WL right when it opened up, but by that point, I think they had made their offers. If your score is good, you'll probably be able to get in off the WL.
