UG Study Abroad During Cycle

Post by Supertme41 » Fri Jan 14, 2011 2:41 pm

I am a second year student who will graduate in 3 years total. I am preparing now (Spring semester) for the June LSAT and 2011 application cycle. However, I am planning a semester abroad next spring (spring 2012) which would be the last semester of my UG. Will it be a problem for me to be hearing back from schools and making a decision if I'm out of the country? This is assuming I will have completed all of my application materials early in the cycle (in the early fall).

It won't be a problem. You can list your foreign cell phone number/address on apps, or you can just have everything sent to your parents' house. Mostly the acceptances/rejections/WL are all sent through email.

I'd also recommend informing the admissions office at each school you apply to that you'll be out of the country via email. That way they'd know to send most of their correspondence via email, especially if you won't have a cell phone with you.
