do law schools ask for act and sat scores?
If yes, why and how does it effect admission?

One school I applied to asked for SAT scores. I think it was Boston College...

At least one of mine did.
If you had poor SAT and good UG GPA then it helps.
Otherwise it's not important.

You dont have to answer it if you cannot remember. It wont affect the outcome.

Well I guess I didn't have any that did, but apparently it is possible though rare.

I submitted addenda discussing mine, if they weren't specfically requested on the application.

Hmm. How low were your scores(if you don't mind me asking)?ahduth wrote:I submitted addenda discussing mine, if they weren't specfically requested on the application.
Mine were fairly average though they would be considered horrid by tls standards.
I didn't put any effort into studying because I knew I'd be getting into my #1 choice for college regardless.

Why? This seems odd.ahduth wrote:I submitted addenda discussing mine, if they weren't specfically requested on the application.

35 and 1400. Studying for the ACT and the SAT is like... I dunno. I wouldn't do it. Seems unsafe.Frathard wrote:Hmm. How low were your scores(if you don't mind me asking)?ahduth wrote:I submitted addenda discussing mine, if they weren't specfically requested on the application.

I was just trolling (I'm procrastinating, have to prepare crap for another meeting where I know we're not going to make any progress, etc.). They really couldn't care less about your ACT and SAT score. And if they do, I dunno, I'd probably call up their admissions office and ask them why they care. I'll call up the admissions office for virtually any reason though (decent way to procrastinate for a few minutes).

I wish more people would do this. It's like, it'll take you less than 5 minutes and it'll get you a perfectly clear answer, but instead tons of people ask TLS and get something vague instead.ahduth wrote:I'll call up the admissions office for virtually any reason though.

Anna Ivey recommends sending SAT or ACT scores for reverse splitters.
