Northwestern evaluation form...did you send it?

Post by chrissyc » Mon Dec 13, 2010 1:19 pm

i have my LORs and evaluations filed with LSAC however this form is available. I don't think I'll be able to get this form filled out. They said that it's preferred but not required.

Did you send it? Am I wasting 100 bucks if i send it without that form and use my LOR and evaluations already on file?

They accept both; neither is required; the CPE is preferred. This is the first year they've done them, so it's hard to say. If your numbers are good for Northwestern, though, and you have work experience, I don't think it'll be a waste of $100. However, if you are going to send a LOR over the CPE, send one from a boss/former boss as opposed to a professor.

GL!

ETA: And to answer your question, yes, one of my recommenders filled out a CPE. I didn't submit any letters. My numbers are also low (but not impossibly low) for Northwestern. I guess we'll find out in a month or two...
