LOR straight to school?

Post by NYC_7911 » Wed Nov 03, 2010 5:22 pm

I'd like to get my applications in ASAP, but I have one LOR that's not going to be ready as quickly as I'd like (prof was out of the country). I'm thinking about leaving him off the LSAC LOR list (I already have enough letters on there), and just having my professor send the letter straight to the schools (which, at least for NYU, seems to be acceptable). Is that a bad idea? It would probably get there around the same time I submitted my application (mid-next week). Thanks for advice.

depends on the school.. check their instructions. Some specify that all of the LORs must be sent through LSAC
