Question about addendum

Post by jimchuck99 » Sat Oct 30, 2010 8:12 am

Hello,

I have a questions about addendums.

For me first three years, I had mostly Bs and Cs. For about a year and a half after, I had several Fs and dropped courses, for two reasons: I was quite busy in extracurricular activities and I had physical/mental anxiety issues, and I was drinking a lot to self-medicate. I probably don't want to say all that, but is this worth an addendum, or should I just let it stand (since they will see my extracurriculars at the same time on my resume). I realize that submitting an addendum is tricky business.

Thanks for any help!

Jim

If you suddenly blew chunks your senior year and started getting F's, you probably have no choice but to write an addendum. The grades are gonna hurt you no matter what, but it's better to give them a good excuse rather than ignore it totally.
