Applying from abroad question

Post by hellojd » Fri Oct 15, 2010 10:55 am

Hey guys,

As I'm filling out the app for Upenn, I've run into a bit of a dilemma. I'm currently working in India (not really from here though, US citizen, college in states, etc.). In any case, my living situation isn't, well, very situated, and I really don't want to confuse the Adcomm by listing an Indian address (and who knows if anything sent here would even make it to my hands).

Is it fine if I just list my parent's address / phone on the app? I have my Indian cell number listed on my resume, just in case they really need it, but again i'd prefer all contact to go through my US permanent address. Any problems with that?

Thanks!

I'm in a similar situation and don't even have a permanent address overseas, so I'm listing my parents' address as well.

Not to be rude, but this sounds like a question for Penn admissions, not TLS. I'm sure they would be happy to answer your question via email.
