Ditto. I'm going to model the 5-year plan after my other Why X essays. Explain which programs, clinics, student groups, journals etc I'm interested in and then explain how those and the interdisciplinary coursework at UPenn will give me the skills of a great attorney, put me in contact with members of the legal community, and get my interests/specific career ambitions flowing. This fits nicely into my plan of becoming an attorney in the broad public interest field and will give me the opportunity to confirm my more specific interests in the fields of X and Y.cigrainger wrote:I'm probably going to do it like that. As for the other essays, I've got an ok one page Diversity Statement I'll use, but I'm not going to force the literature/art essay. Even though I was a German Lit. major and could probably write about some of Kafka's works, I think it will sound extremely contrived, given that I explain in my Personal Statement my legitimate reasons for chosing to go to law school. No offense Herr Kafka, but it wasn't your In The Penal Colony that made me choose law over literature
