Late Decision?
I have a 2.9/171 and applied in January. Loyola (Los Angeles) just made a decision. Any chance I could be accepted this late? Or did they just fill up their class and are now sending rejections to everyone else?

Re: Late Decision?
Your GPA is low, but it seems with your LSAT that you'd be a shoe-in for Loyola LA. Did you apply to any T14s? I think with a good GPA addendum you could manage at least one, especially if you applied binding early decision.

I applied in January with a 2.75/169 and was dinged. You're numbers are slightly better than mine so who knows.

My opinion is that an LSAT score of 171 will get you some serious attention. The best resource is the law school admission office, however.

so you're saying he should call the admissions office and ask, "so my status checker just went to decision rendered. what was it?"

Thanks everyone. I wish I was as optimistic as some of you. I guess we'll find out soon.

It was a waitlist. Any chance it's YP? Or is this all I could have expected this late?
Also, should I send in a LOCI, another, LOR or both?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Late Decision?
A loci along with an additional lor (if you have one laying around ready to go) certainly can't hurt.
If you got WLd for YP, then that should solve the problem.
If you got WL due to applying late, then it probably won't help, but it won't hurt either.

Re: Late Decision?
see my above post. I was rejected with SLIGHTLY worse numbers than you. We both applied late and we reaped the consequences.
