LOCI?

Post by pelmen74 » Sun May 02, 2010 4:04 pm

I know a lot of people have been placed on tons of waitlists, and so have I. Do you guys recommend writing LOCIs? I wrote some but I just don't feel like I can say anything that will really make me stand apart in terms of my particular interest in the school.

You need to write one. Even if you haven't done anything remotely interesting in the intervening time, it shows you're still interested, which is key. Look at the examples on this site as a guide; there are a bunch.

Absolutely you need to write one. If you didn't write a "Why X," now is also the time to do it. If your GPA went up, you received an honor, cured cancer- tell them! Your LOCI should show them not only why you are still interested in them, but why they should still be interested in you.
