Do I Need To Update Law Schools?

Post by goosey » Fri Feb 12, 2010 10:02 pm

I answered yes to one of the character and fitness questions and attached an addendum explaining the situation and that it would be resolved within a certain time frame--it was about charges pending against me and some schools included "other than those dealing with divorce" and this made my life easier---but for those schools that didnt specify this I had to answer yes and attach an addendum explaining theyre not "real" criminal charges and are simply a messy divorce and the charges will be dismissed as soon as we are infront of a judge. which is exactly what happened. I don't think I could hurt to send an update.

I don't think it will matter either way, but if you'd feel better, send it.

The admissions people at my school have given me the impression that those questions are pass/fail, and don't get considered unless they would disqualify you. SInce that seems pretty clearly not your case, I doubt the schools are concerned about it.
