Is Cornell an anomaly in 50% app increase?

Postby SandyC877 » Tue Jan 26, 2010 4:51 pm

I submitted app in december. only email from them was the one indicating they received it. I'm complete at all other schools. Is Cornell the only school with 50% increase? why is it taking them so long to respond?

I called them today to find out if I was missing anything since they received my application 8 weeks ago and I am still not complete. The person who answered the phone says that they will not check for completeness until they are ready to review the application (in the order it was received). Other schools seem to do a quick check for completeness then move the application into a different pile for a few weeks until it is ready for a review. basically it will get completed when they are ready to make a decision. It is no big deal if your application is complete. If you forgot something then it will cause further delay, unfortunately.
