Has anyone gotten emails from Harvard? No fee waiver, but I've gotten two emails so far (one before September LSAT, one today) noting the "extraordinary opportunities" available to Harvard students.

Is there any rhyme or reason to the these emails? Have you taken the LSAT before? Did you go to a prestigious undergrad?

I went to a shit state school w a shit major and got harvard emails. So you could say it's a pretty big deal that you received them.

Previous LSAT plus noted interest in public service. I also like to think H has received my September score. The latter is just for me.

Do we know if schools send out fee waivers because they have already received our September LSAT score (even though we have not) or if they are just sending them out from other factors in via CRS?

I don't know about other schools but I specifically stalked last year's fee waivers thread to determine UChi/Columbia and Chicago sent them out 3 days after score release and Columbia 4 days after score release.

I've been waiting for mine too.
Me three. I came to check this forum to ask the same question.
I think maybe I got mine in the mail today, but it's pretty small?

Yeah, I think I got mine yesterday. It was a small pamphlet.

I got two as well. One encouraging me to apply and another about the opportunities available yesterday. I'm not really competitive there, so I'm not sure why they would send them other than keeping acceptance rate low and getting application fees.

impressive research that's the kind of data i'm looking for haha

so do people plan on hanging onto their applications for a few days? I would hate to submit everything tomorrow and then get a bunch of useless fee waivers later in the week :?

If the scores are released tomorrow, fee waivers will begin to go the next day and most will be out by Friday. I think from last years thread Michigan and Cornell took longer...?

I have all my apps ready to go, and I'm gonna send them off as I get waivers. I don't think submitting Oct 20th vs Oct 31st makes a big difference, both are still really early apps - and I don't want to apply without a fee waiver.

Are fee waivers usually based on LSAT or a combo of LSAT+GPA?

I'd love to post in here, but my waivers are all need based minus a few unsolicited.

Does anyone know what it takes for Fordham to send a fee waiver? I called and they said they only do need based. Do unsolicited ever happen and should I wait a few days since scores just came out or should I go ahead and submit?

I would like to know this answer to this as well. I tried to solicit, but no such luck.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
