I think that is it. I saw a powerpoint years ago of this hyper-granular data and it was fascinating. I guess Bob doesn't do that publicly anymore. The truth is that USNWR publishes even more granular rankings that it distributes only to insiders. We can see from the data that Columbia is slightly (but noticeably) above Chicago, while Duke is above Michigan.

Nope. The T14 became 14 due to the fact that everyone of these schools was in the top 10 at least once. (Even GULC, which was top 10 in the second or third issue of USNews.)With GULC and Cornell tying, is it now the T13?

Once you go past the T14 you go off a cliff in terms of employment. Say what you want about GULC but they have a huge class each year, and their numbers are still much better than the rest. UTers, UCLAers, etc. can cry all they want but the fact remains that they don't even begin to threaten the T14 when it comes to employment.rpupkin wrote:Good question. I'm looking at the actual assigned point values, and the spread between Cornell and USC is minuscule. We're basically talking about statistical noise here. For all intents and purposes, we're in a T22 world now.goldenboy514 wrote:With GULC and Cornell tying, is it now the T13?
UT, UCLA, USC, etc. are nothing more than strong regionals/state flagships in states with strong markets. No one in Florida will care about your UT degree anymore than someone in Texas will care about your USC degree, and so on...

Dude, we're talking about rankings, not "employment." Let's keep the focus where it belongs.Nucky wrote:Once you go past the T14 you go off a cliff in terms of employment. just saw the updates, thank you based spivey.
kind of glad michigan and virginia fell to better reflect their biglaw + fed clerk placement in relation to the other schools (although Cornell and Georgetown tying does not help this).

If you look at the internal numbers, the news is mostly bad for Penn. The gap between Penn and CC widened, and the gap between P and B narrowed. If current trends hold, we're looking at the following sub-tiers for awhile:lawschool22 wrote:goldenboy514 wrote:HYSrebexness wrote:SUP PENN. <3

I may be biased but I don't think you can place NYU in the same tier as Berkeley or UVA, or even Penn really.rpupkin wrote:If you look at the internal numbers, the news is mostly bad for Penn.
