well I don't know if you wanna carpool since my bf and parents are planning on coming along
but if we go down the same time and stay overnight we should definitely meet up...and it would be nice to see the size of your 2br for comparison

Re: UVA Class of 2011 Housing Thread
Oh I can help you there. I'm on level 2 and there are no stairs. The building is built into a hill, with parking on the higher side. So level two is street level. People on level one walk down a level from level2, so there are no windows on one side of their apt.tkm. wrote:oh oops...and level 3 for us...but they kept saying it's level 3 but there is only one flight of stairs? I guess I get the best of both worlds - no battling the stairs during move-in, but i still get a balcony.
Living on what is essentially the first floor kinda creeps me out, though. My best friend's buying me mace for graduation.

hahaha I think you'll be okay on the first floor...ooo so that means there will be no one above me? I like that idea!cantwaitforuva wrote:Oh I can help you there. So, cantwait, judging by the lack of responses, did my answer win for economic cost of murder?

Sorry about that. Thanks for helping out. I'm actually not sure. My friend was doing homework here and needed help, so I posted it. I don't know which answer he went with though.SgtBilko wrote:So, cantwait, judging by the lack of responses, did my answer win for economic cost of murder?

boo. now I have to hear footsteps.cantwaitforuva wrote:No, I think all of the buildings are four levels.tkm. wrote: hahaha I think you'll be okay on the first floor...ooo so that means there will be no one above me? I like that idea!
Do you know which building you're in. It would be fun if we were in the same one.
melbelle is also living in the Avemore, so we'll have a UVA crew.
I haven't gotten the email with the specifics...she said she'll send it when my check arrives.
I thought I read in another thread today that she wasn't sure where she was heading.

I talked to melbelle a couple days ago and she seemed set. She told me when she was moving in.

But your utilities will be cheaper! Top apartments absorb more heat = the air conditioning has to run more = more expensive electric.tkm. wrote: boo. now I have to hear footsteps.

Yay, UVA finally received my financial aid acceptance. But now what? I submitted my applications to BofA... do I just wait until someone contacts me, or is there something I should be doing?

BoA contacted me to verify some info, then told me I was approved for my loans. They said they contact UVA and let them know that we've been approved, and then wait for UVA to request the money. Then BoA sends the money to UVA, and I guess they take their cut and then disperse it to you?
