I've found the schedule, but where on it does it say what section you're in? Or did you just figure it out from the schedule?EmmyD wrote:You can get your section assignment if you look at your class sched on wolverine access.
I'm not in EFGH:( I wanted the profs... but I guess on the bright side I don't get the gunners or the 8am classes.

Compare it to the schedule on the registrar's site.

Ulfrekr, look at what legal practice section number you're in. Then count the alphabet starting with "E". That should correspond to what section letter you're in. e.g. if you're in Legal Practice section no. 001, you're in Section E. If you're in Legal Practice section no. 012, you're in P.Ulfrekr wrote:I've found the schedule, but where on it does it say what section you're in? Very cool Ulfrekr.
On an unrelated note, ever notice the random pics that show up on the pages of the law.umich.edu website? I always found this one to be a bit funny.
Ok...look tough for the camera? Or look seductive for the camera? I can't figure out what the cameraperson told them to do.

I'm sure that's not posed. There's a camera guy that I think must be permanently employed by the law school, you see him around SO MUCH.

Wait...roving photographer takes random photos taken to be posted publicly? Is there a waiver we signed somewhere (that was conveniently hidden), or do they get permission from us before they use them?

Um... I don't remember signing a waiver. I have no idea.

I don't want to end up on a promotional photo that prospective applicants are going to laugh at. At least on a non-compensated basis.

I have some vague recollection of an email saying, "let us know if you object to appearing on the website" at some point...but yeah. May as well accept now that you're going to be plastered all over the Michigan internets, particularly if you're visually distinctive in any way.

Yes (and so unexpectedly happy to be)! Just rolled in at 4:30 yesterday morning. What're you up to?

Is anyone else doing MAP? If so, what are your guesses for what we will have to do with those cases from the required reading?

You're going to have a couple mock classes and then do an oral argument. What are your cases?

The cases are Amaya v. Home Ice, Dillion v. Legg and Thing v. la Chusa (ie, people's kids get run over by trucks). Then there's a recent complaint and demurrer related to negligent infliction of emotional distress in a fatal car accident involving a same-sex couple. And the Bernhard Goetz case. Oh, and some "optional" reading about how to read cases.
What will we need to do in the oral argument?

OK, same as we had.... I am guessing Whitman is teaching it.
Don't worry about the oral argument... it's low key with just a few students.

That's weird. I was just thinking that. I had a mock interview today and career services does everything right. The whole staff is professional and dedicated. Everyone I've met just roxxor my boxxor.

I met Dean Z last night and she actually remembered specific details from my application. If that doesn't prove that they actually look at each applicant's package in depth, I don't know what would. (I also found her to be very nice.)
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
